The 2021 Subaru Mt. Washington Hill Climb

The Subaru Mt. Washington Hill Climb is happening this weekend!

The 2021 Mt. Washington Hill Climb is August 13th, 14th, and 15th, and this year's race should be pretty fantastic.

Airslayer

The big news is of course that Travis Pastrana is going to be running Airslayer built by Vermont Sports Car in the hopes of breaking the record that he set back in 2017.  With all the power, suspension, and aero that Airslayer has to offer, in the hands of Travis Pastrana, there is a very good chance that the record will fall this year.

The other car that we are very curious to see run is the Sierra Alpha driven by Cole Powelson.  Cole made a very impressive run up Pikes Peak in this same car, and we can't wait to see what he can do at Mt. Washington!

From Sierra Cars and Cole's Instagram "For the first time I got to put my eyes on Mt. Washington. This weekend is the Climb to the Clouds and it has got to be one of the raddest roads I have ever seen. We will be racing the Sierra Cars 2020 Alpha against the legend Travis Pastrana and his Vermont Sportscar Gymkhana car Airslayer. Few more days of prep. Couldn’t be more excited!”

As of the writing of this, we haven't seen any options to watch the event live, but be sure to Stay Tuned to Subaru Motorsport USA's instagram page, and the event home page through the weekend to get all the latest news.

And I'd say it is pretty much certain that next week, there will be some really cool in-car runs to watch too.

In the mean time, here are some other good Mt. Washington videos to help get ready for the race this year.

Up-Date!  Here is the full in-car view of Travis's record run up Mt. Washington!
