We've been rallying competitively since 2004, initially with the SCCA ProRally championship before that became what is now the ARA. Throughout the years we have always run in a GD Subaru, from our blue and white bugeye, our classic red and white blobeye, to our current hawkeye emblazoned with our updated logo.
Scott began his career co-driving for Tanner Foust and Stephan Verdier. They achieved a national championship in the PGT class, took part in the X Games Rally in LA, and collected plenty of hardware. Scott decided it was his turn to drive and climbed into the driver's seat for the 2010 season. He has been competing in a GD rally car ever since, with the basic formula staying largely the same (with minor changes due to rule updates).




Ingredients
Because of the strict regulations within rally classes, our motor is entirely stock. We run a stock STI turbo with a 36mm restrictor in order to remain properly classed.

This car started out as a 2006 WRX shell that has been converted to a 2007 STI 6-Speed manual transmission with a MAPDCCD center differential controller. The Cusco differentials are what set this apart as a true rally build.

Because of the power restrictions we are able to run a very simple cooling system with only an upgraded radiator from stock. Even on the longest stages that ARA runs, Bender stays cool and reliable.

The 4-Pot/2-Pot red Subaru brake kit is one of the best brake packages for a rally car as they tuck nicely underneath our 15" wheels. The special item in our brakes package is a custom wheel scraper to keep them safe from gravel damage.
We put Bender through its paces, and the custom Reiger rally dampers that came on the chassis when we got it have held up great. Apart from that the suspension remains stock.
