After setting a record at the 2018 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a time of 7:57.148 (covered in a previous newsletter for winning Autoweek's 2019 "Moment Award"), the Volkswagen ID R now has its sights set on one of the "most demanding race track(s) in the world:" the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany.

VW ID R driver Romain Dumas set an electric car record at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK last year (along with the overall Pikes Peak record), and is now looking to set another electric car record at Nürburgring, where the record is currently 6:45. The team has been hard-at-work testing tweaks to try and maximize their lap time.

The 2018 Subaru Levorg looked to bridge the gap between the Subaru Rally-fanatics and the pragmatic, everyday driver. The newest version of the Levorg will be released in Japan this next month, and Subaru Japan has just released some more information on these "revised" models, including a couple new trim options.
