The 2019 Pikes Peak Hill Climb is now in the record books.
This race is unique because it's as much a race against your competitors as it is a race against the mountain itself, and a personal challenge just to make it through the week to finally make it up to the top of the mountain.

It was a good race this year, and weather was a factor for us as it was for the majority of the cars. But what will be most remembered about the 2019 Pikes Peak Hill Climb is that one of the competitors lost his life on the mountain on Sunday. Carlin Dunne was favored to win the motorcycle Heavyweight, but he had a crash just below the finish line, and the injuries that he sustained ended up being fatal.
