About Flatirons Tuning

Flatirons Tuning is the performance division of Flatirons Subaru in Boulder, Colorado. We were officially founded in 2001 right as the WRX was landing in the United States for the first time. However, we had started doing performance work before that on the Acura side for some of our NSX customers. Our initial to supply parts to our NSX and Subaru customers.

A few years after starting to supply parts for the new Subaru WRX, and seeing how much potential there was in the platform, we branched out from just supplying parts for the WRX (an starting in 2004 the STI) and build a 2002 WRX Rally Car. We started competing in Rally America in 2004 with Driver Tanner Foust, Driver Stephan Verdier, and Co-Driver/Driver Scott Crouch, and continued to compete in Rally America through the 2010 season. We scored multiple class podiums and wins, and in 2005, our Rally Team were the Rally America PGT National Champions.

Then, after taking a short break, we started to compete in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. First, we used our 2004 WRX Rally Car with some modification, and then in 2014, we began to run our 2014 WRX Pikes Peak Race Car. We have managed 3 top ten finishes in Time Attack, and we continue to develop our car in the hopes of moving our way up to the podium.

From our very beginning, our team has been made up of enthusiasts that bring a wide range of experience to the table which gives us the ability to give our customers information and support unlike any other tuning company. We also specialize in keeping parts in stock, and we do our best to keep the much needed/hard to find parts on our shelves.
