A stiffer transmission mount gives you a more connected feel with your car. The PERRIN Transmission Mount reduces most drivetrain movement, efficiently transmitting more power to the ground for more accurate launches during drag racing and autocross-type events where you do not want drivetrain slop.
No More Shifter Wobble
The PERRIN Transmission Mount virtually eliminates transmission movement while keeping NVH to a minimum, solving the annoying shifter wobble and missed shifts caused by the transmission moving from road imperfections.
Built to Outlast Rubber
The rubber used in OEM transmission mounts breaks down over time, eventually causing the mount to fail. The PERRIN Transmission Mount uses 62A durometer polyurethane bushings that resist breakdown and will outlast the life of your car. The large diameter and wide stance of the bushings deliver a feel slightly stiffer than the Subaru Group N transmission mount.
Adapter Plate for Proper Alignment
The PERRIN Transmission Mount includes an adapter plate that installs between the subframe and transmission mount to maintain proper driveshaft alignment on WRX models with a stock 5 or 6-speed transmission.
Bolts for Easy Installation
The PERRIN Transmission Mount secures to the subframe with bolts, keeping threads protected from road grime and corrosion that can make future removal difficult. This is a practical upgrade over the OEM stud design, which leaves threads exposed and vulnerable.
Construction
The PERRIN Transmission Mount is constructed from CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized for long-term durability and corrosion resistance.
Noise, Vibration, Harshness
Because the PERRIN Transmission Mount is stiffer than stock, expect some added NVH (noise, vibration, harshness). The added noise is described as gear whine coming through the chassis, which most drivers find to be a satisfying indicator of the solid connection between the engine and chassis.

The transmission mount is what secures your transmission to the subframe of the car. The OEM mount uses soft rubber that allows the transmission to move around, causing shifter wobble and drivetrain slop. The PERRIN Transmission Mount replaces it with a stiffer mount to reduce drivetrain movement.
