The IAG Triple Pass Competition Series 55mm Radiator is a high-performance aluminum radiator engineered for 2015–2021 Subaru WRX models. Designed to deliver significantly improved cooling over the OEM radiator, this lightweight upgrade is ideal for competition use and performance-modified engines that generate higher operating temperatures. Its all-aluminum construction promotes excellent heat dissipation, helping maintain optimal engine temperatures even under extreme conditions. TRIPLE PASS DESIGN
The IAG Triple Pass Competition Series 55mm Radiator features an advanced triple-pass design with internal baffles in the end tanks that direct coolant through the radiator core three times from inlet to outlet. Compared to the OEM single-pass radiator, this design increases coolant dwell time within the radiator, resulting in a significant gain in cooling efficiency. On average, the triple-pass configuration improves cooling performance by 10–20% over the factory radiator, delivering improved thermal management even during high-demand driving conditions.
ALUMINUM CONSTRUCTION
The Triple Pass Competition Series 55mm Radiator features a lightweight aluminum construction that stands up to extreme heat while resisting cracking and deformation. Aluminum acts as a conductor, enhancing thermal efficiency by drawing heat from the hot coolant as it flows through the core and transferring it to the surface (fins) to be dissipated into the surrounding air. Finally, aluminum offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, ensuring a long lifespan and reliable performance. The Triple Pass Competition Series 55mm Radiator is built to meet the demands of high-performance applications while delivering efficient cooling and durability.
FITMENT NOTES
The IAG Triple Pass Street Series 55mm Radiator uses a relocated upper inlet and requires the included IAG 4-Ply Silicone upper and lower radiator hoses for proper fitment. It features a 55mm (2.165”) core and is designed to work seamlessly with OEM radiator fans using the original mounting positions. A welded -6 AN fitting is included on the radiator, and a -6 AN cap is provided for applications that do not use an expansion tank, allowing the radiator to function with a standard OEM-style cooling system.
