Overtake Post MAF Pipe Kit (2022+ WRX)

The OVERTAKE Post MAF Pipe Kit replaces the factory post MAF plumbing on the 2022-2026 WRX with a molded ABS elbow and two 5-ply silicone couplers. The stock airbox and MAF sensor housing stay put, so nothing about your tune changes.

Pull the factory pipe out and look down the inside of it. Two stretches of corrugation and a row of resonator pockets sit directly in the path of everything your turbo is trying to pull.

Subaru built that pipe to do two jobs well. The corrugation lets it flex into place during assembly, and the pockets quiet the intake down to something the average driver never notices. Both work as intended, and both come at the cost of a clean path from the airbox to the turbo inlet. The OVERTAKE Post MAF Pipe Kit is built for the 2022-2026 WRX and takes the other side of that trade.

Why Make the Swap?

Going from the factory pipe to a smooth ABS elbow and stepped silicone couplers cleans up the whole run between the airbox and the turbo:

The Details:

Factory intake plumbing gets designed around assembly line reality and noise targets before it gets designed around airflow. On the VB WRX that means two large corrugated sections so the pipe can flex into position on the line, plus several resonator pockets tuned to keep intake noise out of the cabin. Both features do exactly what Subaru asked of them, and both put obstructions in the path between the airbox and the turbo inlet, with bends abrupt enough to act as choke points on top of that. OVERTAKE went the other direction with a single molded ABS elbow running a consistent radius and a smooth interior wall, joined at each end by a stepped 5-ply silicone coupler that carries the flex the corrugation used to provide. The stainless bracket picks up the factory mounting point on the lower frame rail, so the pipe is supported where Subaru intended rather than riding on the couplers. Expect more intake noise than stock once the pockets are gone, and budget 20 to 30 minutes for the job.
