After the Success of our Rotating assembly kits, and the numerous requests for a build short-block, Flatirons Tuning is proud to announce that we have teamed up with the experts at SCR Performance to offer the Flatirons Tuning Short-Block built by SCR. Since we already stock all the parts that most of you are looking for to build your own block, you can now chose from fully assembled blocks built to your specs. Take a look at the packages that we have put together below, and select the right one for your application. If you don’t see the combination that you are looking for, let us know and we are happy to put together a kit just for you. Since all Flatirons Tuning blocks are built to order, please allow 3 – 5 days for final assembly before they will be shipped. Also, some pistons are special order only, so please contact us if your order is time sensitive before ordering. All Flatirons Tuning blocks start with brand new Subaru EJ257 Case-Halves, and a brand new Subaru STI crankshaft. We will then add the bearings, rods, and pistons of your choice. We then hand everything over to the professionals at SCR Performance to complete the final assembly of your engine. Because these blocks are built for high horsepower, race applications, the Flatirons Tuning block does not come with any warranty, and are recommended for off-road use. We are happy to balance your rotating assembly as we build your new block for you. Please be aware that this will add roughly 3 days to your build time. We will also require the crank pulley, flywheel, and clutch pressure place that you will be using to fully balance your new engine. You can either ship these to us, or purchase them from us separately.
