The first thing Blouch did was to address the turbine inlet pressure associated with the Subaru bolt-on performance turbo and decided to develop a superior flowing and better fitting turbine housing than the already successful 8cm2 design. They settled on a 10cm2 design that could be applied to both journal bearing and ball bearing Subaru products. And in order to ensure that quality control is to their standards and they have flexibility to better serve their customers, Blouch's 10 cm2 castings are machined with their in-house CNC equipment. The next area Blouch addressed was compressor performance and the decision was made to apply their already successful fully-machined billet compressor technology to the Dominator 3.0R and other Subaru turbos. The result is a stonger yet lighter compressor wheel that looks awesome, but more importantly outperforms conventional compressor technologies. The fully machined billet wheel allows for aerodynamic improvements that could not be applied to older compressor technologies. Blouch rates this turbo up to 550hp!
