Your Subframe is attached to the cars unibody by 4 bolts/rubber bushings.  All of the rear suspension connects to the rear subframe, and the OEM connections allow for a fair amount of play, which can make the rear of the car feel lose unser hard cornering.

All 2002 - 2007 Impreza models actually have the required mounts installed all ready, but they do not have these bolts installed to lock the rear subframe to the chassis.  Once you install these, it will make the rear of the car feel much more stable, and give the car a more planted feeling.

These subframe bolts fit the 2002 - 2007 WRX and STI, and will also fit most earlier Impreza models.

Professional installation is recommended.
