In 2005, Subaru went to a different Limited Slip Differential in the R-180 Differential in the STI.  When they made that change, then recommended using their specially formulated LSD Gear Oil for that differential.

 

The Subaru Part # for this gear oil is K0305Y0900.

 

This is for one Liter, and that is enough for one rear differential.
