AVCS Camshafts  North American Japan/ European Cosworth's Subaru AVCS camshafts are available for both North American and Japan/ European applications. While the camshaft profiles Cosworth offers are the same, the cam angle triggers are significantly different between the applications. AVCS camshafts for North American applications or vehicles with electronic throttle control use a series of three slots to activate the camshaft angle sensor. Japan/European applications use four raised triggers to activate the sensor.
