This is the Top Mount Intercooler that comes on the JDM STI Version 8.  It does look identical to the USDM intercooler, however this one will bolt up as an exact replacement for your WRX intercooler, where the USDM will not. 

This is the ideal intercooler if you are thinking if upgrading, but not going with a front-mount intercooler.  It is larger, and paired with the STI splitter and hood scoop, will get substantially more air over the intercooler to increase its cooling capacity.  It does however have a narrower body which allows this intercooler to cool off more quickly if it does become heat soaked compared to an intercooler with a thicker core.

This kit includes all mounting hardware required for installation, including the aluminum “Y” pipe that attaches to the intercooler, and all needed hoses.  You will need to re-use one of the aluminum hoses from the OEM intercooler.
